Chantelle Chooses A Wedding Dress Fit For A Princess
Date: June 22, 2006 • Author: Emily • Filed Under: Celebrity Weddings

I am impressed to hear that Chantelle Houghton, winner of Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, has chosen none other than Elizabeth Emanuel to create her wedding dress. Designer Emanuel became famous for creating Princess Diana's wedding dress in 1981. The ivory silk and taffeta wedding dress became famous for its 25ft train and bodice which was hand-sewn with 10,000 pearls and sequins.

It is quite a choice for 22 year old Chantelle - 5 months ago she was an unknown promotions girl from Essex and now she is having a bespoke designer wedding dress made for her. Emanuel’s new label Art of Being will make Chantelle's dress.

Chantelle is due to walk up the aisle with fellow Big Brother housemate, Ordinary Boys singer, Samuel Preston, 24, this summer. According to The Sun the loved-up couple have booked picturesque Stock Brook Country Club in Essex as their wedding reception venue. It looks, from their choice of swanky wedding reception venue and wedding dress designer, that their wedding will be a classy affair. That will suit Preston as he was recently heard commenting that he would rather die than have an over-the-top wedding like Jordan and Peter Andre’s pink extravaganza!
